What's in my Skincare Basket?

As most of you probably already know, I'm a makeup junkie but I firmly believe that good makeup begins with good skin and I am a strong believer in using quality skincare products to achieve the best possible results.

I also teach professional skincare courses at a number of Dublin Based colleges and even outside of the class room, I am ALWAYS going on about the do's and dont's of a good skincare regime to my friends and family.

The above picture shows exactly what I have been using for my skin and also my clients skin.
Some products are newly introduced into the skin saviour family while others have been used regularly for years and let me tell you, they are all FABULOUS!

  • First up in the basket there is Arbonne Seasource Detox Spa Mud Mask
I have been using the Arbonne brand for years now and Regularly used the products for facials when I had my Salon. Arbonne are a vegan friendly, cruelty free and 100% toxin free brand suitable for babies teens and adults.

  • Next I have my trusty Arbonne FC5 Exfoliator
The FC5 stands for" fresh cell five" because it contains five fresh cells of fruits and vegetables that are encapsulated. This means that the goodness contained in these cells, will only be released when the product comes in contact with the skin! It smells DEVINNE and really gives the skin an effective scrub without being too abrasive or rough. Again, it is completely chemical free.

I loved this brand SO much that I became and Independent consultant years ago so that I could stock the products in my salon and help my clients out with healthy and luxury high end Makeup and skincare products.

If anyone is Interested in purchasing any Arbonne products, You need a consultants code in order to purchase on the website. Feel free to pop mine in and be sure to contact me via email or social media and let me know what you think! :)

  • Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate for Night and Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser with natural Neroli
Liz Earle also hold a more natural preference to their skincare products and these two have been a regular feature in my daiy and nightly routine. The Nighttime concentrate oil contains organic rosehip oil and Argan oil and smells amazing. The scent alone really helps to relax me at bed time and it acts as a powerful hydration boost to the skin aswell as helping to balance it.

The Superskin Moisturiser with Neroli is rich in Omega 3 and helps to slow down the ageing process while providing the skin with much needed hydration during both the day and at night.

  • Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Glow Tonic and Glow Mist
What can I say, I ADORE THIS BRAND! I have only started using it in recent months and the difference to my skin is actually shocking. The texture is the smoothest it has ever been as I tend to suffer from severe dryness and find that I need to keep swapping between different brands to keep it under control. These 3 products have literally been miracle workers. Really!

I done a more in depth review of these products before christmas which you can read here

Pixi is another brand which values a more natural approach to skincare and makeup which is why I was instantly drawn to it. I just simply can't recommend it enough.

  • Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Lotion
I have been using this product on and off for a few months now and I have to say I'm very attached to this! It is also chemical/Paraben free which is very important to me when choosing products and It really does leave my skin silky smooth and supple for the whole day, especially in these cold winter months.

  • Last but not least, I have my trusty Cocoa Brown Gradual Tan
I am obsessed with the Cocoa Brown brand for high quality, effective tanning and body products and this is my go to tanning moisturiser. Cocoa Brown have TONNES of fantastic products including bronzing oils and body scrubs to name just a few so I highly recommend you go check them all out if you haven't already. I'm obsessed with them all!

I also done a review last year on this particular product which you can view here

It's getting REALLY cold outside now in my part of the Globe and my skin needs the protection more than ever now and especially with it being right after the Christmas and New Year celebrations!

All the prosecco and junk food has taken Its tole on my poor skin and it is majorly thankful that I have discovered all of the above.

I will be starting a NEW DIY Natural Skincare Series called Face Mask Fridays where I'll be showing you how to make and use some of my favourite natural skin remedies in the form of facial masks.

I'm all stocked up on the fruits and veggies to name just a few and I'm so excited to share the recipes and techniques with you!
