Happy Monday Showstoppers!

We have all woke up this morning to social media feeds PACKED with all the style and beauty from the Golden Globes red carpet and it's safe to say that this years carpet did not disappoint.

Every year, there is always noticeable trends on the carpet that quickly creep their way over into the high street and this year, there was no denying the dusty pinks, gold and silver metallic's, monochrome ensembles and sequins on some of Hollywood's finest.

In terms of hair, there was a lot of sleeked back do's, sleek vintage inspired waves and paired back, fuss free up do's.

BUT, what I really want to chat about in this post is the Makeup!
I LOVE red carpet Beauty. LOVE it.

I do enjoy creative and dramatic styles too but nothing compliments these stunning Designer gowns quite like a flawless, fresh and glowing makeup look.

I've rounded up some of my fav looks from the event but it was very hard to pick!

I just love everything about Sophie's look. The Game of Throne's star turned heads in her edgy Louis Vuitton gown  paired with sleek, straight locks and beautiful fresh, glowing skin and smokey eye combo.

Naomie Harris

Naomie opted for gorgeous shiny waves paired with a glowing base, long lashes, defined brows and a glossy lip.

Emily Ratajkwoski

The star stunned on the red carpet with a sexy tousled bob, orange toned eyeshadow, a slick of mascara and a coral hue on her lips. Her skin was flawless, glowing and lightly bronzed.

Lily Collins

I think this is just breathtaking! The pinky, peach toned eyeshadow and matt red lips looked devine on Lily's complexion and was beautifully complimented by her plaited bun and embellished, rose toned gown.

The actress wore her hair in a fuss free, elegant up do paired with soft, rose toned makeup.,

The thing that I love the most about Red Carpet Makeup is that it is never OTT. In celebrity land, It's very much about complimenting and highlighting your natural beauty.
While intricate and dramatic Instagram inspired artistry is amazing in itself and a very popular trend today, you very rarely see anything like that on a red carpet.
It's just a different world altogether and I love them both!

I definitely think more younger girls should watch the red carpet shows for inspiration aswell as their Instagram feeds because that way, you see the best of both worlds, one in which we create our alter-ego's through heavy makeup artistry and dramatic. striking looks, aswell as one where we see that natural beauty is appreciated too.

Until next time lovelies,
Natalie x
