Hi Showstoppers!

I hope you have all enjoyed the weekend and don't have any Monday Blues today.

I'm sorry I haven't blogged since last week. I have been super busy with my new career which I am LOVING so far. You can read about my first Liz Earle adventure here and see the gorge pictures if you haven't already! :)

Today's post is going to focus on one of my favourite home made recipes for targeting dark under eye circles.

One of my lovely past students from a foundation Beauty Diploma Course, has sent me the above message via Instagram and I thought it would be great to feature this on the blog as I know that so many people struggle with the eye area.

One of the methods that I have often saw people achieve great results with is from using Lemon but I am also going to tell you you how to make your own little eye mask aswell.

What you need:

  • A fresh Lemon
  • Cotton wool balls
  • Small bowl
  • Tomatoe Puree
  • Tumeric Powder
  • Flour
So, what do we do with all of those then?

Method 1: Lemon Juice

  1. pour a few drops of lemon juice on to a cotton wool ball and gently and Carefully dab a little under the eyes, taking care not to get any in the eyes.
  2. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse away with warm water.
  3. Repeat this 3-4 times per week.
Lemons are rich in Vitamin C and Citric Acid and they can really help to lighten and brighten dull skin when used over a period of time.

Method 2: The Vitimin C Mask

  1. Mix some Lemon juice, Tomatoe Puree, Tumeric Powder and a dash of flour into a small mixing bowl until it turns into a paste.
  2. Use finger tips or a mask brush to spread an even layer over the skin
  3. Leave on for roughly 10 minutes and do this in the evenings, 2-3 times per week for one month, for best results.

I would also recommend doing a little patch test on your inner elbow before applying the mask to your face and especially around the eye area to ensure you will not have a reaction to any of the ingredients.

Have you tried any other home made recipes for under eye circles that you love? If so I would love to hear them.
